THE BRAZILIAN BIKINI WAXING SERVICE. All the rage and for good reason. Alluring and totally sexy, and its gone rampant among the main stream ever since Demi Moore and Gwyneth Paltrow revealed their allegiance to the Brazilian Bikini Wax! Gwyneth going as far as being quoted that the Brazilian changed her life!
What is a Brazilian Bikini Wax anyway? Well, googling Brazilian bikini wax you can find almost 90,000 references to it! The general consensus pretty much agrees that its going totally bare down under!
Be aware that there are modified Brazilian bikini waxings under various auspicious names as the Hollywood or the Playboy (just to name a couple). The names represent a style of Brazilian. For example, our Playboy Bikini service leaves a decorative "landing strip".

Do you offer a true brazilian wax (as defined below), or do you just call a bikini wax (front only) 'brazilian'?
I've noticed a trend in Denver to not offer brazilian, but to call normal bikini waxes 'brazilian' anyway.
"Brazilian waxing refers to a removal of almost everything, front to back except for a thin strip of hair on the pubis. An extreme form of bikini waxing, it involves a complete removal of hair from the buttocks and adjacent to the anus, perineum and vulva (labia majora and mons pubis)."

Rebekah, you did my first bikini wax and you did such a great job. I had to use someone else when I needed a last minute appointment and I never will again. Loyal to you cause you're the best!

I'm contemplating getting my first ever Brazilian. The only thing I've ever had waxed were my eyebrows, so I have the normal first-timer nerves. I've got a beach vacation coming up. How soon before the trip should I have this done? What kind of prep do I need to do ahead of time (trimming, not shaving for a time, etc.)? Thanks for answering my sensitive questions. :)

Dear contemplating... Excellent question. Ideally, you should wax your bikini twice before you leave for the beach.
Why? A couple of reasons. First, hair grows in cycles, so on your first wax, the exposed hair will be removed but you may have another cycle of hair right below the skin that may appear a few days after you wax.
Once you remove all the hair from the root, the result will be one cycle, and that's when you get a good 4 to 5 weeks of great results.
Also, having two waxes before your trip lets you, and us know how your skin will react after your first wax and how you are doing with your post wax home care (we recommend TendSkin).
If you can't get two waxes in, then you can make your appointment two days ahead of time. But if you go this route, its very important to purchase your post wax home care, and bring a razor just in case you get patches of hair from that second cycle of hair.
Before you go into your first wax, don't shave, if your hair is longer then a 1/4 inch, trim it (long hair can make your session more painful), and if you are still nervous about the sting, purchase PFB Numbit, or No Scream Cream from Relax and Wax, both excellent topical numbing creams made specifically for waxing. Also, taking an aspirin ahead of time can help.
Hope that helps! If you need more tips on waxing, I encourage you to visit our website, StudioUrbanWax.com and check out our typical questions page. Happy Waxing!

Is it adviseable to have a facial after a facial waxing has been done?

Bikini waxes are almost essential for going to the pool or beach, especially if your bikini is tiny. Thanks for sharing the ins and outs of the brazillian bikini wax!
